Orders & Shipping

Where are you based?

Thread of Gold Design is proudly based in New Hampshire, where each order is carefully handmade, packed, and shipped with love.

When do you work/respond to messages?

Business Days: Monday through Friday

Business Hours: 9am to 5pm EST

I do my best to respond to emails and messages within 48 hours. Messages sent on weekends or holidays will be answered the next business day!

How long does it take to process my order?

All orders are handmade and typically processed within 3-7 business days. During busy seasons, launches, or holidays, processing times may be slightly longer. Thank you so much for your patience while I thoughtfully create your order 🤍

When will my order ship?

Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Please allow up to 24 hours after shipment for tracking details to update.

Shipping times vary by location, but most U.S. orders arrive within 3-5 business days after shipping.

What if my package is delayed?

Once your order leaves my hands, it's in the care of the shipping carrier (USPS). While delays are rare, they can happen and are unfortunately outside of my control. I'm unable to offer refunds for delayed packages, but I'm always happy to help you locate or track your order if needed.

Can I combine shipping on multiple orders?

If you've placed multiple orders and would like them combined (with extra shipping refunded), please reach out through the Contact form. We will do our best to make it happen!

Products & Care

Are your items handmade?

Yes! All items are handmade in small batches. Because of this, slight variations in color, texture, or placement may occur — making each piece uniquely yours.

Will my item look exactly like the photos?

I do my best to accurately represent each product, but due to the handmade nature of my items and differences in screen settings, slight variations may occur. These small differences are part of the charm of handcrafted goods!

Are your items made in limited quantities?

Many designs are created in small batches or limited runs. If you see something you love, it's best to grab it before it sells out — restocks are not always guaranteed.

How should I care for my accessories?

To keep your items looking their best, follow these simple care instructions.

For All Jewelry and Hair Accessories;

  • Remove before showering or hand washing, and avoid prolonged exposure to water or moisture, as this can cause tarnishing.
  • Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, lotions, intense sunlight and humidity.
  • Not sure if you'll remember this? Don't worry, every jewelry and hair accessory order comes with a care card!

For UV DTF Cups;

  • Handwash ONLY. The high heat in dishwashers will cause the UV DTF Decal to peel off of your cup!
  • If not washing right after use, take lids off of cup before putting in sink! This helps prevent trapped moisture which results in moldy bamboo lids. Also keep lids separate from cup when storing *trust us — it's a game changer*
  • Not sure if you'll remember this? Don't worry, every cup order comes with a care card!

For Charm Bookmarks;

  • Every charm bookmark order comes with a complimentary cleaning cloth to ensure your bookmarks stay beautiful!
  • Avoid exposure to water or harmful chemicals as this can cause your book jewelry to tarnish
  • If cleaning is needed, use complimentary cleaning cloth to wipe away finger prints on metal hook and to polish wire wrapped beads/charms.

For All Other Accessories;

  • If cleaning is needed, use a damp cloth with a small amount of dish soap. Dry thoroughly.

If you follow these steps and handle your accessories with care, they'll last longer and stay beautiful for years to come ✨

Are your products gift-ready?

Yes! Orders are thoughtfully packaged, making them perfect for gifting — whether it's for a loved one or a little treat for yourself.

Returns & Policies

Can I change or cancel my order?

As long as the order has not begun processing, we are happy to assist with any changes or cancelation. Once an order is in progress, it cannot be changed or canceled. Please reach out as soon as possible if you need help!

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Due to the handmade and small-batch nature of my shop, returns and exchanges are not accepted. Please review all photos and descriptions carefully before purchasing.

What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact me within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue. I'll be happy to help make things right!

What if I entered the wrong shipping address?

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If you notice an error, contact me as soon as possible. I'm unable to make changes once an order has shipped, and I cannot replace or refund orders delivered to an incorrect address provided at checkout.

Who creates the designs at Thread of Gold Design?

All designs are created by Samantha (it's me, hi 👋), the owner and maker behind Thread of Gold Design.

Do you accept custom orders?

We do not offer custom orders at this time. If you have a special request or want to make a slight change to a design, please feel free to email us via the Contact form. We will be happy to help in any way we can!

Where can I find you in person?

I regularly attend local craft fairs and markets throughout the year, with more frequent events during the holiday season. Follow along on Instagram or sign up for emails to stay updated on upcoming events and market dates.
